Freemasons tell about Anders Behring Breivik
The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) writes that Breivik was initiated as a Freemason in 2007 and was conferred the third degree in 2009. According to the court psychiatrists, Breivik was already mentally ill by 2006, but none of the Freemasons that NRK spoke to reacted to any indication of mental illness in Breivik.
Breivik became a Freemason after he and his mother were invited to celebrate Christmas together with his mother’s second-cousin, Jan Behring, and his wife. According to Behring, Breivik expressed interest in becoming a Freemason and Behring eventually became his sponsor.
During the 7/22 attack on Utøya, the Grand Master of the Norwegian Freemasons, Ivar Skar, could hear the shots and observe the attacker on Utøya from a vacation cabin on a nearby island. Skar told NRK that the day after the attack, a brief Freemasons meeting was held, and Breivik was excluded from the organization. Skar also said that, at the time of his becoming a Freemason, there was nothing about Breivik that indicated that he would not be someone that would fit in well to the organization, and that he seemed like a fine young man.

For almost five years ago, Anders Breivik Behring admitted as first-degree member of the Masonic order, “St. John Masonic Lodge St. Olaus to the three pillars.”
23 July, he was excluded as a member.
In 2009 he was admitted to the so-called third degree. Breivik had no official duties or duties in the lodge….
When shots were fired at Utøya on 22 July to Ivar Skar hear gunshots and see the perpetrator from a cabin on an island near Utøya.
Little did he know then that the perpetrator was himself a Freemason.
“I got a phonecall where I learned that the perpetrator was a Freemason. The day after the attack, we held a short meeting. There was no other talk than he had to be excluded immediately,” says Skar.
“At this time there was nothing to indicate that he was anything other than the one that would fit in with us. He seemed like a handsome young man,” says Skar….

Breivik’s friends say he displayed no signs of mental illness
Breivik’ friends say he displayed no signs of mental illness and seemed normal. Aftenposten writes that the police have interviewed more than twenty of Breivik’s friends and family members and they all give a completely different picture of him than the court-appointed psychiatrists. While the psychiatrists describe Breivik as suffering from complete function loss, Brevik’s friends told police that Breivik took part in cabin trips, family dinners, parties with friends and café outings.
Three of his friends arranged a farewell party for him before he moved to the farm that he rented in the spring of 2011. One friend explained that everything seemed normal about him, and there was a good atmosphere at the party. The friend’s only concern was the fact that Breivik was using anabolic steroids. Breivik’s best friend describes him as resourceful, and very, very stubborn, but caring and very considerate towards those closest to him. According to the friend, Breivik is also a person who has a high tolerance level for other types of people.
When asked whether Breivik seemed depressed, the friend says Breivik isolated himself, but that this was not because he was depressed. The friend believes the isolation was to protect his closest friends and family, “not to drag them into this case.”

None of the more than 20 friends and family members who met the terror accused in recent years prior to 22 July-attacks mean “he was unable to take care of himself”, as the two expert psychiatrists conclude….
Police interviews show that his manifesto, that those who know him refer to as “book”, and his extreme views, was a frequently discussed topic, both in family dinners, friend requests, and in other contexts. Most knew that he had extremist views, and was obsessed by the idea that Islam conquered Europe. But nobody knew how he had intended “to promote” the book.
A 35-year-old friend says that Behring Breivik sometimes started with a long account of the Muslims had nothing to do in Europe.
“He tried to convert us (friends, editor). Get us to understand how things were….”
“He told me he wrote a book about Islamic takeover of Europe,” says best friend. Most knew that the accused spent most of their time working on this book….

Breivik told half-sister he was writing a book about Muslims taking over Europe
The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, NRK, reports that they know the contents of the police questioning of Breivik’s half-sister who lives in the United States. According to NRK, Breivik told her that he was writing a book about Muslims taking over Europe. At some point during 2011, according to the half-sister, he told his mother that he was prepared to die for this cause.
His half-sister said she had had concerns about him writing such a book, and told him he was crazy to hold such ideas. However, when questioned about the conclusion of the psychiatric report, she said she is in disagreement with the psychiatrists’ description of him. In her opinion, if he had been insane, he would not have managed to plan the attack and at the same time live such an apparently normal life.
Breivik’s half-sister also finds the psychiatrists’ and others’ suggestion of neglect during their upbringing to be incomprehensible. She remembers that they had a normal upbringing, and that there was nothing unsual about Breivik during his childhoold.
