Breivik appeals appointment of new court psychiatrists to Norwegian Supreme Court
Verdens Gang (VG) reports that Anders Behring Breivik has decided to appeal the appellate court (Borgarting Lagmannsrett) decision to uphold the Oslo District Court’s appointment of new court psychiatrists. Breivik’s lawyer, Geir Lippestad, says that they have decided to appeal the appointment of the new court psychiatrists because they are of the opinion that the principles in question (eg. that before the trial, it is the prosecutors’ duty, and not the court’s, to bring forth evidence) are important and should be evaluated by the Supreme Court.

The defenders will now write the appeal before they wish to comment any more….
